Fantastic program – loved both the written report and practical 1:1 sessions with Mandy Murray. She had so much knowledge to share in the 2 sessions. I was very happy with Mandy’s knowledge and feedback as our website has already ranked better than it did. The digital engagement health check assumed we are like other tourism providers in the area when a quick look at our website clearly indicates we are quite different as we provide school camps to the education sector. Maybe the template provided to the coach did not allow them to critically evaluate our business as well as they might have if they had a different template to use. Although there were many things that were helpful, there were many that were irrelevant to us due to the nature of our business.

The sessions offered through tourism tribe were invaluable for our small business. It analysed our online presence and offered us so many simple strategies that we have been able to implement to increase our exposure. It really isn’t hard if someone teaches you what you can do. The presenters were so patient and obviously experts in their field. It was such a valuable experience for our team to be involved and we continue to work on many of the strategies that we have learnt.

This perspective was a great complement to the previous outward-looking view on our digital presence. Wow. The online health checks conducted by Tourism Tribe were great and gave me clarity about simple things I could do that have made a big difference in our online presence. The one on one mentoring session absolutely blew me away and it was like running a marathon in an hour. I came away reeling a little bit as it was so jam packed but the knowledge that I gained was immense and gave me the confidence to really dig in a make some changes for the better. Such a valuable experience and looking forward to round two!

Thanks for a very valuable review of our digital assets. Some very helpful insights [from an independent view]. Also, I’m a little surprised that your analysis gives so much credence to TripAdvisor. My information is that the credibility and usage of TA reviews has diminished significantly in the past few years, in comparison to Google Business profile and OTA reviews. If you have comparative evidence to the contrary, I’d be interested as I have always thought that many of our DMO’s have missed the opportunity to promote destinations and experiences thru TA. [just as AirBnB are starting to do] PS: We only share the precise location of our property to confirmed guests [by email], for privacy reasons. For insurability, we don’t cater for disabled guests.

So far very happy. There are a few points I don’t understand. I hope when it’s time for me to act on these points and I reach out for clarification I get the answers and support I need. Looking forward to doing the tutorials. Have not had the time to do any yet.
