As part of the Silver sponsorship agreement with the Tourism Awards, Tourism Tribe has partnered with QTIC to deliver an even bigger and better awards promotional program than in previous years, to increase online and offline exposure for entrants and winners.

Excitement is at its highest level for the Queensland tourism industry’s ‘night of nights’.

Hundreds of the State’s top tourism operators will gather at The Star Gold Coast today (November 16) for the Queensland Tourism Awards 2018, hosted by the Queensland Tourism Industry Council.

The fun kicked off the yesterday, with a pre-awards networking night at The Island Rooftop Bar, in Surfers Paradise, hosted by Silver sponsor Tourism Tribe.

Tourism Tribe is an online community of more than 1,600 tourism businesses around the world and is a leader in digital technology and coaching for the tourism industry.

As part of the Silver sponsorship agreement, they have partnered with QTIC to deliver an even bigger and better awards promotional program than in previous years, to increase online and offline exposure for entrants and winners.

Using their unique digital story-telling tool (www.tourismtribe.com/story-qta), Tourism Tribe is capturing the stories of all entrants – with 40 stories already captured at the time of writing – quickly and easily creating a story from the information entered into the template and then publishing that on Tourism Tribe’s website, which is very highly ranked by Google, and social media channels. The tool also produces a ready-to-go media release, which is published almost immediately and automatically distributed to the award entrant’s local media and Regional Tourism Organisation.

Instagram stories and other social media channels are being utilised to maximise exposure in the lead-up to, and during, the event, resulting in the combined exposure of web, social and traditional media, all working together.

“Our three-pronged campaign is a way to shine the spotlight on Queensland’s tourism businesses and celebrate their success,” Tourism Tribe’s CEO Liz Ward said.

“Since their stories have been published, tourism operators have received the support of coverage of local media, which is fantastic.

“This was exactly what we envisaged for the digital storytelling tool when we created it, so we are very excited to be achieving these results on behalf of the award entrants.”

CEO Daniel Gschwind said QTIC had enjoyed a long and successful relationship with Tourism Tribe and it was now very exciting to be partnering with them as Silver sponsor for this year’s QTAs.

“Tourism tribe’s expertise in digital technologies, tools and training for tourism businesses is almost unrivalled in Australia,” he said.

“We are excited about this new and different online campaign, which will really increase exposure for the awards, the entrants and the winners, and will build on the already excellent track record QTIC has for promoting the awards online pre, during and post event.
