The training I did with Tourism Tribe was invaluable. The process of doing the course has given me the confidence that I can do social media, I can update my website, my ATDW, my GMB and that I don't need to rely on someone else to do it for me. I have been given the tools to continue to grow our business online and the confidence to know that I am heading down the right track.
Which part of the training did you find most beneficial?
In the first lesson we were informed of tools like zappier, one pass, bookmarking which are all things that are still on my list to do but I feel that they will be wonderful timesavers for me working in my business.
Definitely some of the information we were given regarding Facebook and Instagram was great. Also information on ATDW, Google My Business and our websites was extremely useful.
I think that the whole process of doing the course has given me the confidence that I can do social media, I can update my website, my ATDW, my GMB and that I don't need to rely on someone else to do it for me. That is definitely the most useful thing that has come out of it.
Can you give an example of a skill or knowledge area you gained?
I participated in the Navigating the Digital Maze (Destination Gippsland). Right from the first 10 minutes of the first lesson I learnt so much. So much that I still have not had the chance to put it all into action. But through participating in the course I have worked out what I need to prioritize for my business to be more present online. I still have a long way to go but I know that I have learnt and been given the tools to continue to grow our accommodation business online.
With the skills I have gained I have been able to update my website and be more active on my social media. I am still working on email marketing.
