Who are the people behind your business
Green Pedal is a husband and wife team effort. David has the technical expertise, and knows how to select the perfect bike for customers, and adjusts for maximum comfort. He is in charge of servicing, replacing tubes and tyres and keeping the bikes in top condition. Suzanna accompanies David on the longer tours, and also takes care of the business operations, marketing and communications.

David has fantastic relatability with customers. Often there’s a customer who hasn’t ridden a bike in a long time, and they are quickly put at ease. David’s guided E-bike tours are packed with value – not only do customers get to experience riding an E-bike, but they also learn about the history of the Murray River region, and come away with the local secrets. David knows the places for great coffee and happily recommends other holiday experiences to enjoy.
Echuca Moama was a great place to explore by bike. We hired through David online and he delivered the bikes, helmets, locks and maps to our AirBnB. David helped us with sizes (ages 7-68) and provided heaps of tips on where to go in Echuca Moama. A friendly, seamless service. Highly recommended.
What is a thing you love about your business?
David is Green Pedal’s main guide, and the face of the business. David loves meeting and connecting with new people every day. He also loves to share the past history of Echuca Moama, which makes for fascinating stories. He knows where and what to recommend to visitors who are usually keen to find out the local ‘things to do’. There are so many must see attractions, as well as great dining, coffee, outdoor, sporting and watersports activities – there is always something that matches the interests of our customers. The best thing is when customers return from a guided tour, or hire experience, to hear how much they’ve enjoyed exploring Echuca Moama region on two wheels.
What is the company background?
David and Suzanna Barry are the passionate owners and guides behind Green Pedal, an E-bike Hire and Cycling Tours business in Echuca Moama, a town easily explored on two wheels.
Purchasing our own e-bikes and cycling around our hometown and further afield, spurred us to start the business. The electric assistance makes it easy for us to ride to together, no matter the weather conditions. Echuca Moama has so many scenic places to enjoy by bike.
What is your ultimate vision for your business?
E-bikes really are the way of the future. Discovering an E-bike when you are on holidays may just be the inspiration you need to put the car away, and begin cycling for pleasure, to work or for fitness. Riding a bike, of any type, is an excellent way to keep healthy, it’s great for the body as well as the mind!
