What you will learn...

A boost in funding from a government or industry body can allow a tourism business to achieve any number of things that they would otherwise be unable to do. The process of finding and applying for grants can be daunting and many businesses are unsuccessful because of a lack of preparedness. This course will give you the confidence to put together a compelling application for the next funding opportunity that comes your way.

In this online course, we will show you how to develop a winning application that showcases a well thought out project design that is aligned with the goals of the funder while also satisfying your own objectives. We will explain the process of government grants, the expectations of the funders and how to ensure your submission will stand out among the rest.

Recommended activity: Write a project description

Before the live webinar, we recommend that you take some time to consider what kind of project you would take on if you were able to access the funding to do so. Think about how you would address the “Who? What? Where? Why? When? How?” questions and produce a 50-word draft project description.
