Quick Win 24 – Smart tools

This webinar, all about harnessing digital tools for business efficiency, suggested various strategies to optimise business operations using technology. The session began by emphasising the importance of cloud storage to ensure business continuity and efficiency. Participants learned about setting up email and calendar systems using tools like Google Workspace or Office 365, enhancing productivity with integrated digital calendars, and the convenience of using Calendly for scheduling.

Further into the session, the focus shifted to practical tools for daily business tasks. Attendees were introduced to Google Docs’ voice typing feature for efficient document creation, clipboard managers like Paste App and Ditto for tracking copied items, and ColorZilla for managing brand colors. Fab also highlighted the benefits of Google My Maps for creating interactive maps and provided insights on managing image sizes for web optimisation using Chrome extensions like Image Size Info.

The latter part of the webinar covered advanced tools and techniques for streamlining workflows. The use of Loom for screen recording and Scribe for automatic documentation creation were demonstrated as effective methods for training and process documentation. The session concluded with a discussion on using live chat systems like Facebook Messenger for customer engagement, showcasing the power of ChatGPT-4 for interactive queries, and reinforcing the importance of secure password management with tools like 1Password and LastPass.
