It runs in two blocks of four webinars each. Sessions cover the digital marketing and AI topics that matter most for tourism businesses right now: how AI is changing travel trends and consumer behaviour, AI-powered marketing and social media planning, smarter backoffice tools, content exposure across ATDW and search platforms, video marketing, search visibility, and email marketing for repeat bookings.

For a limited number of participants, one-hour personalised coaching sessions are available. These give you focused time with an expert on the areas most relevant to your business.

Who can take part

The program is open to NSW visitor economy businesses, including accommodation providers, tour and experience operators, attractions, restaurants, wineries, distilleries, breweries, farm gates, and Visitor Information Centre staff. Council and Destination Network staff are also welcome.

Block 1 – September 2025

  • Travel Trends: Trending travel and changing consumer behaviour in the AI revolution, and how tourism businesses can use AI for improved customer engagement
  • Marketing Gains & AI: Using AI tools to save time and improve marketing outcomes; creating a marketing and social media plan using ChatGPT
  • Smarter Backoffice: Optimised digital stack for small to medium tourism businesses, data integration opportunities, cyber security must-knows, and time-saving apps
  • Content Exposure: Optimise your third-party listings across ATDW, Google Business Profile, Bing Profile, and website key pages to work in unison and increase your visibility in Google and AI search

Block 2 — February 2026

  • Social Media in the Age of AI: Explore the role of social media in the AI environment, and how to update your strategy and optimise your return on investment and effort.
  • Video Marketing: The benefits of content repurposing, the role of video marketing, video marketing channels, and video production techniques and editing tools.
  • Search Visibility in the AI Era: Learn how AI is changing search and what you must optimise right now across your website and Google Business Profile to stay visible to travellers.
  • Email Marketing for Repeat Bookings: Understand why email is still one of the highest-converting channels in tourism and how to turn your database into repeat bookings.

Liz Ward

Liz is the co-founder of Tourism Tribe and a recognised expert in business strategy and digital transformation, with over 25 years' experience across large and small businesses. Today, she is focused on helping tourism operators understand how AI is reshaping marketing, from automating repetitive tasks to using AI-driven insights to find the right customers at the right time.

As a coach, Liz brings big-picture thinking to every conversation. She helps operators map their objectives, identify their ideal customers, and spot opportunities where AI and smart digital strategy can give them an edge. She is highly sought after as a presenter, mentor and workshop trainer.

Tourism Tribe launched in 2015 and now supports over 1,600 tourism operators across Australia and the world. It was recognised in the Queensland Tourism Industry Innovation Awards (2016) and the UNWTO Innovation Awards (2015).

Liz is also Managing Director of Digital Coaching International, a network of specialists who guide businesses through digital and AI transformation of their marketing and operations.

Liz is a Fellow of both the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Australian Institute of Management. She has served on several boards, including Tourism and Events Queensland and Women Chiefs of Enterprise, Australia.

Can I access the training at my own pace?

Absolutely. All our self-paced courses are available online anytime, so you can learn when it suits you – even during your quiet season or in between guests. You can ask a question at any time at the bottom of each lesson and we’ll get back to you super quick!
