Program Overview

The City of Ballarat has partnered with Tourism Tribe to offer this fully funded bespoke program to assist tourism operators in the Ballarat region to digitally transform their businesses.  The program focuses on individuals’ digital knowledge and skills to build their business’s online presence.

City of Ballarat Mastering Digital Marketing will help you work towards digital goals for your business, identify areas requiring attention and remove barriers to improve online presence and grow your business in the current operating environment.

Participants will experience a highly tailored digital support program, relevant to their current levels of digital confidence and capabilities.  Each participant will receive a personalised Digital Engagement Health Check ™ and ATDW Health Check at the start of the program.  Four online workshops will further their digital knowledge and confidence, while a 1 hour one-on-one mentoring and skills coaching with a digital expert will support them to build an action plan to grow and improve on their business’s current digital footprint.

Topics span essential online presence and digital marketing areas including areas such as social media, Facebook advertising, optimising local search and online listings including the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse and Google Business, search engine optimisation, analytics and email marketing automation.

Eligibility

This program is open to tourism businesses in the City of Ballarat and the surrounding regions of Pyrenees Shire, Moorabool Shire, Golden Plains Shire and Hepburn Shire. The workshops and coaching will take place in person in a venue in Ballarat.

The Process

Start with Digital Engagement Health Checks™ & ATDW Health Check

Once you receive your welcome email, we’ll start right away on a full Digital Engagement Health Check™ of your online assets, including your business website, Google My Business listing, Facebook and Instagram.  Your ATDW Health Check will then commence.  Each business will receive an assessment report for both health checks.

Workshops

This program includes 4 in-region workshops.  Topics are centered around areas requiring attention as identified in participating businesses’ Digital Engagement Health Check™ results.

1:1 Coaching

Two one-hour coaching sessions are available for each participant, where strategists will walk you through recommendations relevant to your business (from your digital assessment) and help you develop a digital strategy to implement these recommendations.  Coaching sessions will be available after each workshop and can be booked on this page.

Tourism Tribe Course Library

During this whole program, you’ll have access to the extensive Tourism Tribe course library to help you to improve your knowledge and digital skills.  These courses can be found on your dashboard.

End with Digital Engagement Health Checks™

At the near conclusion of your program finishing, you will receive a post-Digital Engagement Health Check™ to reflect upon how your digital assets have improved.

Privacy notice

Any information collected by Tourism Tribe on behalf of City of Ballarat about you and your business will be used solely for the Mastering Digital Marketing: Digital Capability Building Program. If your application to be part of the program is unsuccessful, all information collected will be destroyed.

Where do I access my course certificates?

You can view and download your course certificate for any course you have completed on that course overview page which you can access via the main navigation menu when you’re logged in.

How do I find my Digital Engagement Health Check™ report?

You’ll find the link to access your report in the email we sent to you with the subject line “Your Digital Engagement Health Check™ results”. Please do download your report so that you’ll always be able to access it.

Can I access the training at my own pace?

Absolutely. All our self-paced courses are available online anytime, so you can learn when it suits you – even during your quiet season or in between guests. You can ask a question at any time at the bottom of each lesson and we’ll get back to you super quick!

Are there live sessions or just recorded content?

We offer both! Join our live webinars and group tourism tech coaching sessions, or check out the recorded content at your convenience.
