Program Overview

Destination New South Wales is collaborating with Tourism Tribe to offer DNSW members a bespoke program to digitally transform their business. The fully funded Digital Skills Foundations Initiative runs over six months and will support 100 businesses from across Sydney and NSW to uplift their online presence. The initiative will build the core digital capability of NSW accommodation and experience providers, enabling them to better engage potential visitors online.

Through this program, we will help you to set achievable digital goals for your business, identify areas requiring attention and remove barriers to improve your online presence and grow your business in our dynamic digital marketplace.  Through a three-pronged approach, providing business-specific recommendations for improvement, online group tech sessions & one-on-one coaching and access to online courses, you will be assisted to assess, develop and grow.

The Process

Introductory Workshop

Liz Ward will take you through a quick introductory online session where you will learn what you’ll need to do to maximise the benefits from your involvement in this program. You’ll then be sent a welcome email to confirm your details in the program.

Start with Digital Engagement Health Checksâ„¢ and ATDW Health Checks

Once you confirm your details we’ll start on a full Digital Engagement Health Check™ and ATDW Health Check of your online assets, including your business website, Google Business Profile listing, Facebook, Instagram and ATDW listing.  Each business will receive an assessment report for both health checks.

One-on-one Coaching

A two-hour online coaching session is available for each participant, where strategists will walk you through recommendations relevant to your business (from your digital assessments) and help you develop a digital strategy to implement these recommendations.

Tourism Tribe Course Library

During this whole program you’ll have access to all the perks of being a full Tourism Tribe Digital Assistance Member including the extensive Tourism Tribe online course library to help you to improve your knowledge and digital skills. Use these courses as support as you implement the recommendations listed in your Digital Engagement Health Check™ and ATDW Health Check reports.

Tourism Tech Sessions

Twice per month you will also be able to attend an online tourism tech session where Tourism Tribe experts will teach you about cutting edge tourism tech. During these sessions you’ll also have the opportunity to discuss your challenges, and hear from other operators from around Australia about their experiences in developing their online presence and digital marketing strategies. These sessions are scheduled every 2nd Thursday of the month at 10am and 4th Tuesday of the month at 12pm. Once logged in you can find the registration page from the top navigation menu.

It ends with a follow up Digital Engagement Health Checkâ„¢ and ATDW Health Check

Once you have had your coaching session and time to implement recommendations from your initial health checks and information you have learned from the online course library we will complete a follow up Digital Engagement Health Checkâ„¢ and ATDW Health Check so that you can see for yourself how far you have come during the program and have an updated list of what you still need to action.

Privacy notice

Any information collected by Tourism Tribe on behalf of Destination New South Wales about you and your business will be used solely for this program. Your details will be shared between Destination NSW, Digital Coaching International Pty Ltd trading as Tourism Tribe and the Destination Networks.

Program Dates

  • 24 June: Introductory online workshop 11am
  • 25 June: Participants confirm their participation within the program & receive Tourism Tribe login details
    • Course library access starts
    • Access to fortnightly tourism tech sessions starts
  • July-August: participants receive Digital Engagement Health Check â„¢ and ATDW Health Check reports
  • After reports received: book & complete 120 min one-on-one coaching sessions
  • Late November: participants receive follow up Digital Engagement Health Check â„¢ and ATDW Health Check reports
  • 30 November: all one-on-one coaching sessions completed
  • 30 December: access to support library and fortnightly tech sessions ends

Program-specific FAQs

Email issues

Prior to going into the causes of why you may not be getting our emails, it is important for you to know that emails are just there to provide you with further information which is available on your program page. 

The only email you need from us is the first one, which tells you how to create your account.

Our emails are either sent from help@tourismtribe.com or  programs@tourismtribe.com.

Likely causes of you not getting our emails 

  1. Check your promotions/spam folders as they may have gotten filtered there by your email provider.  Search your inbox/promotions/spam folders for emails from Tourism Tribe or programs@tourismtribe.com.  Add program@tourismtribe.com and help@tourismtribe.com to your address book/contact list to ensure future emails from us get to your inbox.
  2. Double-check what email you used to join the program.  It may have been misspelled or you might be looking in the wrong inbox if you have several email addresses.
  3. If you have previously or even recently unsubscribed from Tourism Tribe, you will not be receiving any emails from us. If this is the case you will need to lodge a "change of enrolment" form. Please be aware that these changes attract a fee. However, you can always log into TourismTribe even if you have marked us as spam. Your login will work as well as any password reset email.
  4. You may have a problem with our emails being blocked by your email provider or by a firewall. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about this and you will need to talk to your IT support.

The important thing to understand is that even if you're not getting Zoom emails, you can go to your program page and click the link to register for the upcoming webinars. Whilst we have already invited you, this is a quick way for you to make sure you can participate as once you have registered the thank-you page will give you the direct zoom link (that also is sent via email).

All Zoom invites and reminders will come from no-reply@zoom.us. Make sure you add this to your safe senders.

If you are not receiving Zoom emails, but are receiving our emails, there are two common problems:

  • Zoom emails maybe be getting filtered to your spam/junk/promotions folder.
  • Your organisation may be blocking emails from Zoom

Please read this article by Zoom for how to solve the problem (and make sure to read right to the bottom, because the simplest possible solution is right at the end).  Unfortunately, we cannot solve this issue on our end as it is a problem between your email server and Zoom.

Please note we are not able to resend zoom links so please use the zoom webinar registration button as explained in the first paragraph.
