To get you into the modern marketing mindset, we’re sharing a recent episode of a marketing and social media podcast by Social Media Examiner. This episode offers valuable insights on how marketing has changed and what it means to be a marketer today and lays the groundwork for this month’s training topic, guest content marketing.

Pre-workshop worksheet

After the panel session on the 11th of April, all participants will receive a worksheet to help you identify the ways in which you currently use guest reviews and social media to market your business. The worksheet is designed to prompt you to think about your current review management process, and what level of engagement you currently have with your digital audience, which are topics that we will cover in more detail during the workshop on the 18th of April.

Week 2 – Live Panel Session (60 min)
Thursday 11 April 11:00am-12:00pm AEST (QLD time)

Delivered by successful entrepreneurs and experienced business leaders, the panel will share their top advice for developing and improving your tourism marketing strategy through the use of guest content. It’s the perfect opportunity to learn new methods in tourism marketing that you may not have previously explored.

Mark Fitz

Mark is a social influencer and photographer who specialises in promoting travel and outdoor experiences. He is known for his ability to capture images that inspire people to visit the stunning locations he has photographed and experience those unforgettable moments outdoors, you can view some of his work on his website. Mark was previously an accountant for 14 years but switched off his calculator to follow his true calling. Mark’s photography focuses on his passion for travel and the outdoors which has led to a strong following online with over 60,000 fans across Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Trover.

Heather Congram

Heather provides support to the Marketing team, CEO and members at Capricorn Enterprise.  Her role is to promote the Capricorn region as an attractive holiday destination through her extensive experience in marketing, public relations, event management, hospitality and retail management.  From working in tourism at Heron Island Resort, Dunk Island Resort and Gladstone’s Tondoon Botanic Garden to event management experience including organising corporate and charity events. She graduated from CQ University with a Master in Business Administration – Marketing.  Having lived in the Southern Great Barrier Reef and Capricorn Regions for over two decades Heather has a love and passion for where she lives.

Week 3 – Live Workshop (60 min)

The live workshop will follow with case studies and step by step advice on how you can use your best customer testimonies and other external content to your advantage, including what you could do now to make immediate improvement.

Week 4 – Q&A session (45 min)

I can’t do one of the dates, do I miss out?
If you cannot make one of the sessions you won’t miss out.  All participants will be emailed the recording of all sessions and will be able to work through it at their own pace.

What time zones are the sessions?
All session timezones are Australian Eastern Standard Time (Brisbane).
