Tell us something quirky or memorable about you, your team, your customer or your business
We are really proud of our team here at Kellys. A small team who are not only hard working but are really committed to what we are trying to create here at Kellys. They continually punch above their weight and are always keen to learn more and grow our offering. We are really proud and grateful for such awesome staff
What’s the favourite thing you love about your business?
5.5 acres of trees, ferns, native wildlife and bird life, a block back from the beach on the Southern Great Barrier Reef is pretty precious. The fact we get to look after it and do what we can to conserve it is what we love the most. Plus we have instilled this message onto our kids and our guests too
What’s the company background?
The family were looking at businesses to start together. We saw the resort in a brochure Christmas night, after probably too much egg nog said, we can do that! 3 month later we had signed and moved up in the July. Our first 9 months were in limbo of holiday mode and getting things organised. Coming from Melbourne it took a lot to get used of the ‘worry about it tomorrow’ attitude. 15 years here that attitude is one of the many reasons why we love working and bringing up our families here.
What’s your ultimate vision for Kellys Beach Resort?
For people to have a place to stay that connects them with their, family other people and nature

Resort is lovely. In a perfect location, short 2 minute walk to the beach. The villas are very spacious and private. Was lovely to wake up to the birds each morning. Great spot for a romantic getaway or a family trip.
